3G Mobile Broadband - Getting Started Guide

WELCOME

Welcome to BKB Internet’s Mobile Broadband service. It is great to have you with us and we will do our best to make your experience with us a good one.
This user guide has been created to assist you to become familiar with the features of your new BKB Internet service.
The features are all very easy to use, and this guide is here to help should you need it.

Modem Settings

SP Code: 330M1
APN: m2lns1
DNS (Primary): 61.88.88.88
DNS (Secondary): 125.168.254.14

Email Settings

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.bkb.net.au
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.bkb.net.au
Webmail access: http://www.bkb.net.au

Please access your email address regularly as we correspond with you using this address.

Installing on Windows

Insert your USB modem into your USB PortThis pop up window (Fig 1) should appear.

If you don’t automatically see this pop up box, go to Explore by right clicking on Start, Navigate to CD Drive (Drive:) Wireless BB and choose the file Auto Run – Application. 
Depending on your security settings you may be asked to ‘Allow’ the .exe file to run. Select ‘Allow’. The Setup Wizard will appear (Fig 2)

Click on Next

Click ‘I Agree’ if you agree to the License terms (Fig 3)

 

Select the folder you want the software to be installed in. (Fig 4) Once you have made your selection, click the Next > button.

The ‘Choose Start Menu Folder’ will pop up automatically (Fig 5).

Click Install once you are happy with the Folder Name.

You will see this screen when Wireless Broadband has finished installing

Click on Finish

The SP Code to enter is 330M1 (Fig 9)

Click OK
Once you have clicked OK, you will see the Connection Window (Fig 10)

You will then see the service authenticating (Fig 11)

 

Once authenticated, the Connect button changes to Disconnect, and at the bottom of the screen you will be able to see the Upload and Download usage amounts for this session.

Click on ‘Statistics’ in the Menu Bar to view Upload and Download amounts.

Trouble Shooting

Once you have installed the USB successfully the following USB Modem settings are required to ensure your customer can authenticate.

Click on Tools, Options, Profile Management, as seen in Fig 14 below.
· Select Edit
· Change the Profile Name to 330M1
· Change the APN to M2LNS1
· Make sure the Static radio button is selected
· Save your changes
